Comics Experiment 2011

If you're on my professional blog, you probably already know about my personal blog which can be found here. I'm currently working on a bit of a inking/comic experiment that some of you might be interested in. It isn't finished, but still noteworthy.

This post is mostly about work I've done for Six3Six Studios as a concept artist. The game in question, Steampunk Skyes is currently in development but it is on schedule for a 4th quarter 2011 release! So, I'm very excited about that. The company website and facebook page has already posted the preceding images, so I am too.

Start-ups

Circa 2004. New logo and business card.

Circa 2003-2004 for a local Political Action Group. Most of the members had volunteered for Moveon.org
and wanted to stay organized.

I've also done a bit of freelance work. Mostly for start-up companies and small business.

Memorial And Signage

Thomas M. Easterly, Daguerrian Artist memorial, @ 2008-2009
located in Bellefontaine Cemetery. 

Not a memorial but a sign for the above law firm. @2007 located on Big Bend Blvd
in Richmond Heights. (Right next to a plant nursery)

Roche family monument, @2006-2007, located in Calvary Cemetery
This was rather interesting as the family and previous employees had some difficulties
but I was able to get everyone back to the table and completed.

The next "major" step in my career path after I left APSI was working for The Tom Murray Monument Company, roughly from 2006-2010. The company had some ownership issues but nevertheless, I made sure all the clients and families were happy and felt good about their choices. Here is a brief selection of works I produced under their name.

This was a catalog page @ 2003

Cellphone redesign, 2001, I did all the research and design specs. myself

Medical device (I want to say for diabetes. I forget the manufacturer) @ 2003

Safety Barrel redesign @ 2002. I was part of the (re)design team

Toolbox @2001. I had actually designed this a year ago but they didn't make it until 2001.
I had the handles and latches a bit more pronounced but it's still neat.

Transamerica Tower @2004

Trash Can redesign @ 2002. I was part of the (re)design team that worked on this one.  The original specs called for
trash "peeking out" of the lid but it didn't work at all.

Hey there. I thought this might have been a better idea rather than posting my work spaced out with all my other ramblings. So, here is the APSI stuff and more to come.
